How to Manage Applications
- Verify that "Preferences" is selected in the toolbar of "Workgroup Manager".
- Verify that the groups tab (three heads icon) is selected above the left column.
- Verify that the desired workgroup is sleected in the left column.
- If not already done, click the "Applications" icon to manage the list of approved icons.
- If running Mac OS Server 10.5, click the "Legacy" tab.
- Select "Always".
- Select "User can only open these applications".
- Uncheck "User can also open all applications on local volumes".
- Check "Allow approved applications to launch nonapproved applications".
- Drag any application from the Finder into the list. (Alternatively, click the "Add" button to manually locate an application.)
- Click "Save".
- Click "Done".
First time? If this is the first time managing approved applications for this workgroup, the list may be cluttered with extra applications. Many of the default applications can be removed.

- In the "Go" menu, select "Applications".
- Control-click (right-click) "Dictionary" and within the contextual menu, select "Show Package Contents".
- Open the folder "Contents".
- Open the folder "SharedSupport".
- Drag "PopupDictDaemon" into Workgroup Manager's list of approved applications.
