In particular, we will explore the identity of Jesus within U.S. Hispanic theological perspectives, and the way these perspectives address the question that Jesus posed to his disciples: Who do you say that I am? (Mk. 8.29).

Ralph Zimmerman, Benedictine Sister Nancy Bauer, and Joe Towalski will share there insights and experience and answer questions about the official diocesan news during this session.

‘Joy is the infallible sign of the presence of God’ (Leon Bloy). Ministers are eager to share faith and help others experience God’s love, but we also know the realities of failure, rejection, misunderstanding and difficulties. Ministers regularly come face to face with their own limitations and the human realities of the Church. Yet in the Letter of James we read ‘whenever you face trials of any kind, consider it nothing but joy’ (James 1:2 NRSV). We will reflect on the essential dispositions and core practices of healthy ministers that allow us to take the words of James to heart when ministry is challenging.
