Partnership Project Initiative

Joint Partnership Communications Initiative: Communications Office of the Diocese of Homa Bay, Kenya.

The Leadership Teams of the Homa Bay - St. Cloud Partnership are currently in the process of reflecting upon the prospects of initiating a new partnership project. This would be the first truly joint partnership initiative following the initial "Harvest for Hope" - Silo Project. The new communications initiative hopes to assist the the partnership and more specifically the Diocese of Homa Bay with capacity building in regards to communication issues confronting the diocese and partnership. The process of developing this joint communications initiative will involve mutual reflecting upon the gifts and needs of both respective dioceses, the possibility of establishing a Homa Bay Diocesan Communications Office, radio station, and effective means of communication including the internet, diocesan newspapers, and other media. The goal of this initiative would be to empower the people of the Homa Bay Diocese to promote their faith, to communicate effectively with parishes throughout their rural diocese, and to better disseminating information about issues facing the diocese (e.i. catechism, AIDS/HIV education, health issues, Diocesan liturgical events, and the partnership). This communications initiative will hopefully also help us to share our lives, bring us closer together in partnership, and grow in faith as we go together to God.
