Ministries Supporting Our Lives

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Each year, I marvel at the strength of our Diocese because of people, like you, who are committed to their faith.  For many of the faithful, that dedication manifests itself through their support of the Annual Diocesan Appeal.

We are God’s hands and feet, and God counts on us to use our resources to advance the mission of the Church.  Blessed Pope John Paul II has told us many times, “Be not afraid,” and he has also said, “Christ counts on you.” He is saying that we can trust that our Lord will be with us as we do God’s work faithfully from day to day.   

Please join me in making a sacrificial gift, in proportion to your income, to the Annual Diocesan Appeal.  Together we can enrich the lives of the men, women, and children across our Diocese by sustaining the ministries that help all of us in our walk of faith.

Thank you for prayerfully considering my request. Christ does “count on you,” and you can trust that He is with you as you support His work in our Diocese.

A FEW WORDS FROM OUR 2012 HOST COUPLE...

In sharing our blessings each year we have chosen to support the Annual Diocesan Appeal.  It is important to us because we strongly believe in Catholic education.  The future of our Church lies in the education of its entire people through ministries like parish faith formation, Catholic schools, and the formation of our Seminarians.  By supporting the 2012 Annual Appeal, we are able to support Catholic education throughout the Diocese of Saint Cloud.  

Early in our marriage, we felt we had to save up to make a large donation for our gift to have an impact.  However, as our family grew, there always seemed to be another expense that popped up and those funds were needed elsewhere in our budget.  Once we made a conscious effort to support ministries like the Annual Diocesan Appeal through smaller monthly pledges, our goals to share our gifts finally came to fruition.

We feel that, as members of the Diocese, we are called to support its ministries.  Just as our own parish relies on our financial support to carry out its mission and ministries, the Diocese is also dependant on its members to support them each year through the Annual Diocesan Appeal.  Our gift will go directly into the 2012 Diocesan budget to support all its ministries including Catholic Education, Faith Formation, Health Care, Marriage and Family, Social Concerns, The Visitor, Vocations, and Worship, right here in Central Minnesota.
