Sexual Misconduct Policy Parish Contact Person Job Description / Job Outcomes:
I. Provide Diocese of Saint Cloud Sexual Misconduct Policy and Ethics and Integrity Guidelines forms to current and new Church Personnel paid employees and volunteers.
II. Gather the following signed forms and file in individual personnel file:
A. Sexual Misconduct Policy Acknowledgement of Receipt
B. Sexual Misconduct Policy Background Questionnaire Concerning Sexual Abuse
C. Guidelines for Ethics & Integrity in Ministry Acknowledgement of Receipt
D. Annually initial Sexual Misconduct Policy Acknowledgement of Receipt
E. Annually complete and send Diocesan Annual Safe Environment Report form. (will be shared at later date)
III. Provide Criminal Background Check forms for Church Personnel who have regular contact with minors and vulnerable adults.
A. BCA (FORM A PAID) for paid - ($8.00 as of October 2003)
B. Mind Your Business, Inc (FORM B VOL.) volunteer - ($3.50 as of October 2003)
IV. Submit notarized Criminal Background Check forms for paid employees and/or volunteers to the Diocese of St. Cloud Chancery with proper fee as soon as possible, but no later than, February 14, 2004.
V. Understand Mandatory Reporting procedures and train appropriate Church Personnel. (Any cleric or church personnel who knows or has reason to believe that any church personnel may be guilty of sexual misconduct must comply with any applicable reporting or other requirements of state and local laws, unless to do so would violate priest/penitent relationship of the Sacrament of Reconciliation).
VI. Provide and make readily available in each parish/school office the Sexual Misconduct: Internal Reporting Guidelines and procedures for use by those who wish register a complaint. Included should be names and telephone numbers of appropriate law enforcement personnel, victim advocates for the Diocese of St. Cloud and any other pertinent information deemed necessary for the reporting of alleged abuse.
VII. Attend annual training, which will include knowledge or training applicable to the above-mentioned areas.
